Science has proved it: Strain on the body while working is lesser if the user can assume a favourable body posture. The consequences are less fatigue and subsequently more concentrated work. In addition, good body posture provides for perfect power utilisation.
The new Metabo cordless screwdrivers were designed according to ergonomic considerations and are presented in an extraordinary shape - the Z-shape. The centre of gravity was optimised so they can be held more easily and all important switches are conveniently located.

Reverse switch and On/Off switch
Because of the symmetric, heart-shaped design, the switch is suitable for right-handed and left-handed users. As it is located close to the handle, the switch can be actuated without having to grope for it. In the impuls class, the On/Off switch is also provided with a rubber-coating.

Gear shift and impuls switch
The trough-shaped design and the crescent-like grooves of the gear shift ensure that the finger remains firm while actuating the shift. Pushing and pulling are equally easy. In the impuls switch, a slight groove prevents the finger from slipping.
The handle angle was designed in such a way that the forearm muscles
are stretched only slightly and the hand achieves almost normal grip. Thus, maximum power utilisation is guaranteed.
With the new grip position, the machine "swings" ideally in its centre of gravity. Through the balanced distribution of weight, the cordless device is always in the perfect work position.
